1 General English-Arabic-English Translation This is a course in the translation of non-specialized sentences and texts between Arabic and English. It also introduces trainees to the translation of such disciplines as economics, mass media, management, etc. The course aims at building the rudimental skills of translation including among other things vocabulary building, colloquial expressions, using dictionaries, solving syntactic problems in translation, cohesion and coherence, culture in translation, and language varieties. Trainees are also introduced to the available translation technology and online translators’ support societies. (40 hours)

2 ABCs of professional translation (A basic course) This course sheds light on syntactic problems in translation and how they can be solved based on the assumption that a correct translation cannot be rendered without a correct use of grammar. The course is very practical with students involved in practical translation drills on matters that include among other things: translating auxiliary verbs, tense, aspect, phase, clauses, adverbials, etc. (20 hours)

18- TOT Workshops: Introduce trainers at academic institutions to the actual fields demanded in the translation market and the challenges awaiting fresh graduates
19- Field Training: We offer field training for prospective translators. Actual training hours vary and also do the fields of translation. Normally, training hours total 80-120 covering translation in such fields as: management, economics, legal documents, sciences, accounting, auditing and edcuation.
